Nancy Shugart, owner of ICanReadToday.com, is passionate about helping people gain the freedom and independence of being able to read when reading is not always easy for them.

Nancy's difficulty with reading was caused by a visual impairment which Nancy has lived with since she was eight years old. However, there are many conditions other than blindness and low vision which can cause a person to have difficulty with reading.

With the technology that is available today, Nancy believes that there is no reason why a person who struggles with reading should be left out or left behind in their quest for an outstanding education, exciting career, or the enjoyment of a good book.

Nancy had a successful 21-year teaching career in the public schools in Austin, Texas, something the experts had said would be impossible for her to achieve because of her low vision.

Today Nancy is a successful businesswoman.
